Today is a beautiful day for many reasons:
1.) I've just kicked the jet lag after arriving in Amsterdam for what promises to be a magical summer of gigs, sessions, recording, learning, and exploring. Finally quenching some hardcore wanderlust.
2.) It's 80 degrees and sunny in a city that's usually way too rainy and cool for my mediterranean soul (and hair).
3.) It's my 24th birthday! Shaping up to be the best one yet :-) Though to be honest this whole week has felt like one long birthday thanks to generous friends and generous music.
4.) I'm prepping for my first of many Dutch gigs this Sunday @ Café Spargo. I'll be accompanied by a great guitar player from Curaçao, Jean-Jacques. We play from 16:00-19:00! See you there Amsterdammers!
I'll be joining Tim Brey (piano), Dan Monaghan (drums), Justin Sekelewski (bass) for a quick set at the chic center city Garces spot, Volvér! Next Thursday, February 12th from 8-9 PM. Drop in and join me for a cocktail (or two, or four...)!
If you're in the Downingtown area and looking for some live jazz, I will be joining Alex Kauffman at the Eagle Tavern in Chester Springs. Stop by for a drink or meal and catch some of the music!
The Eagle Tavern - 123 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs, PA 19425
I'll be returning to Chris' this month with a really stellar band! Please join us on Wednesday, May 21st from 7-10 pm at Chris' Jazz Cafe (15th and Sansom)! We'll be playing some original music as well as some gems from the American and Brazilian songbooks. Cover is $10 (or $5 for students).
The band: Dan Monaghan (drms), Brian Howell (bass), Craig Ebner (gtr), Mike Frank (piano), and Chris Oatts (sax+flute)
See you there!
I will be opening for an AMAZING night of music, featuring The Behn Gillece Quartet and The Tim Brey Trio. Joining me will be the ever-talented and ever-elusive Dave Sanders on guitar.

Jazz Bridge is a nonprofit organization that provides aid to jazz and blues musicians in times of crisis, providing health, legal, financial, personal and professional care to the community while promoting live local music. I'm super excited to be a part of their series this season and would love to share this excitement with all of you!
Join us on March 12th from 7:30-9 pm! You'll hear a few of my own originals as well as some of my favorite standards and brazilian repertoire.
